The sthirakarakas are governed by by Shiva and there are 7 such karakas. The utility of these karakas can be understood from the standpoint of their gunas. Based on the inhenrent gunas, Sattva, Rajas and Tamas the karakas are classified in three categories namly the Naisargik karaka which is predominant in Rajas Guna, the Chara Karaka which is predominant in the Sattva guna and the the Sthira Karaka which is predominant in the Tamas guna. This means that the karakas represent the influence of various things animate or inanimate, in our life. Karaka means the doer of certain activities. However, the most important thing the influence of strong Jupiter, Vargottama Saturn and Sun on Moon - all of which indicate the spiritual outlook of a native.All inanimate as well as the animate being the world are signified by the planets and hence the work karaka is associated with them. Jupiter and Venus have exchanged signs - so Jupiter's aspect has an implied Venus' aspect too.
Moon is connected to every planet in some sense - he is in Mars' sign, aspected by Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Sun. Debilitated moon has cancellation through Mars and is Vargottama strengthening the horoscope.Vargottama Mars in the 7th house indicates less/no marital comfort.
